About Us:

The Spur, the official newspaper of Southwest Minnesota State University, is funded with self-generated advertising revenue and student activity fees through SAFAC.

Opinions expressed in both text and advertisements do not necessarily represent the editors or staff of the Spur. Readers are encouraged to write letters to the editor. We require letters to the editor to be signed, and a phone number should be included. A newspaper’s primary function is to be a voice of and for the people.
