Wonder of the World Postponed: The Black Box will Perform December 1 and 2

Daniel O'Brien, A&E Editor

Originally scheduled for Thanksgiving Break, the Black Box production “Wonder of the World” has been rescheduled for December 1 and 2.
When asked about the postponement, Co-Director Lynn Lafky said, “We believe that the show has a lot of potential and all of us really want to make this a great show.”
Lafky also said, “When we came up to a time where we were about to perform, we realized that we weren’t quite there yet so we’re giving us a little more time.”
“Wonder of the World” will be a large change of pace for the Black Box team. In the past, they have mainly performed plays that are more dramatic in nature. It will be interesting to see how well they do in the realm of the absurd and nonsensical.
“It’s still going to be a great show,” Lafky said. “We all have confidence in it and we still encourage everyone to come December first and second to come see the show.”
This schedule change might actually work well for both the Black Box and students. Considering how final exams will nearly be around the corner, having a funny show at the start of December will be a great stress reliever.
There will be a total of four shows split between December 1 and 2. The showtimes are 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. for both days.
