The Spur

Lacey Barke
Lacey Barke has been a Spur staff writer since fall 2018. She worked spring semester 2019 as a student worker distributing papers and assisting with the print editing process before becoming Editor in Chief for the 2019-2020 school year. Before her time at the Spur, she worked at the Marshall Independent as an intern then as a sports reporter.

Barke is a junior majoring in professional writing and communications with a minor in public relations. After her time at SMSU, she is planning to continue her education through graduate school studying communications.
