Valentine’s Day is here and so is that gift-giving anxiety! Does she want that expensive dinner? Does he need that pricey new watch? Maybe some people would choose that, but I’m sure a home-cooked meal from the heart would mean just as much to your significant other. It’s a great way to show your affection and you don’t have to spend a fortune!

Guys, get a heart shaped cookie cutter, and you’ll be set! There’s really no need to spend a fortune on eating out or buying a couple steaks that will probably be burnt. Heart shaped pancakes with sliced strawberries over them as a breakfast in bed. Heart shaped homemade pizza that can be done with an easy maneuvering of the dough. Just incorporate a heart theme into it, and she’ll love it! But don’t forget the box of chocolates for dessert!

Heart Shaped Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup

Can of Tomato Soup

Get out that frying pan and melt some butter. Take out two slices of bread and spread on some butter. Make a cheese sandwich and put it in the frying pan. Cook as desired, flipping as necessary, to get that gooey cheese center! Heat up some tomato soup in the microwave and plate your food. Make sure to cut your grilled cheese into cute little hearts as an extra sign of affection!
This is a great way to get away from the cold and start cuddling on that sofa. Some of this comfort food is definitely going to be a nice end to your romantic day. Add in a sappy love movie, and you’ll have that girl melting in the palm of your hands.

Now girls, what is that special food that most guys absolutely love? That’s right, BACON.

Bouquet of Bacon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll up your bacon and stick with a tooth pick. Get some of those disposable aluminum muffin tins, poke holes at the bottom of each to drain the bacon grease, and place on top of a cookie sheet with aluminum to catch the grease. Place one bacon roll-up in each and cook to desired crispiness. Then take out and place on paper towels to drain. Replace toothpick with skewer, and present to your loved one!

Yeah, he may laugh at you for the goofiness of this dish, but will he complain?  No, definitely not. And if you want to be extra special, try dipping some of the roses in chocolate. It’s a mixture of sweet and salty that will really show him how much you love him!
